San Juan

Summer Solstice Traditions

In June, the summer solstice celebrations marking the longest day and shortest night of the year are reflected in the Christian calendar with the festivities of San Juan.

This special night reflects changes and contrasts: light and dark, fire and water with traditional rituals, such as the lighting of bonfires, often set on the beach. The eve of San Juan, 23rd June is a magical celebration of the arrival of summer and not to be missed!
